THE HUSBAND by Melissa McClone
Kate and Jared’s story in The Husband: A Marriage of Convenience is an emotional, tug at your heart strings, sweet romance by Melissa McClone, book four in A Keeper series.
After growing up in foster care, Kate believed she had to be perfect; otherwise everyone she’s ever loved left her. Even her husband left and now she is alone, once again.
Jared loves Kate more than anything, even if he did push her too far. When Kate and Jared become the sole guardians the infant daughter of their best friends, divorce is no longer an option; especially with a baby depending on them.
A marriage of convenience sounds anything but convenient, but Jared is determined to keep his promises to his best friends and to Kate. He is determined to get Kate back and provide their little girl with a parent who loves her and also love each other.
Becoming parents brings them closer together, but their magnetism, attraction and chemistry makes Kate want to build walls around her; protecting her heart and keeping her distance from Jared. Jared does not want to give up on having the family and marriage he wants. Before they can have their happily ever after, Jared needs to examine his actions and start really seeing things from Kate’s perspective.
Ms. McClone wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that is not to be missed. This story contains strong magnetism, chemistry, the magic of love, opening oneself up for examination, and charming characters giving Kate and Jared a chance at love, happiness, and a future together. I highly recommend The Husband to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
