ONCE UPON A BILLIONAIRE by Jessica Lemmon
Once Upon A Billionaire by Jessica Lemmon, book one in her Blue Collar Billionaires series, is an emotional, steamy, and enjoyable tale dealing with one’s place in the world and society as well how to fit into that role.
Vivian’s world collapsed around her after her father was arrested and found guilty of fleecing his clients. Her mother drank herself to death and her brother has been in and out of rehab. Having no home, no money, and not able to find a job because of her name, Vivian left Chicago for small town Ohio and changed her last name. Working in the permits department provided the anonymity she required.
Nate was a troubled kid growing up on the streets of Chicago with junkie parents before he was adopted by the Owens and given a chance. The Owens were wealthy, kind, caring; all the things his parents weren’t. Nate is in the construction business and determined to make sure each and every project was completed on time. So when Vivian swaggers into his office with a roll of red tape, planning on shutting down his construction site, he knew he had to do something. Showing off his alpha tendencies he is not only interested in Vivian but determined to figure her out, below the surface; as in who is she. One date led to a hot night of burning up the sheets, to buying her designer clothes like she used to own, to spending almost every night together, to wanting each other like an addict. Soon, Vivian is meeting his adoptive family, Nate helps her bury her father, and Nate provides a job for her recently out of rehab, sober brother. Both have pasts that make it difficult to trust other people and with love on the line they are going to have to learn to accept, trust, and just love each other.
Ms. Lemmon wrote an emotional and steamy romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, sarcasm, a few laughs, revealing conversations, and charming characters giving Vivian and Nate a chance at love. I highly recommend Once Upon A Billionaire to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.
