5 Memorable Stars MONTANA HOMECOMING by Kim Law

Montana Homecoming by Kim Law

With four Wilde babies already due in the coming weeks, the last thing Cord expects when he returns home is to discover one more is on the way . . . his.
His hometown of Birch Bay isn’t the respite Cord Wilde envisions when forced to take a mandatory vacation. Instead, he finds that thanks to one memorable weekend back in the spring, he now faces the same situation as his siblings, expecting a “bundle of joy.” But accidental pregnancy or not, that doesn’t mean Cord has to be a hands-on dad. He can uphold his responsibilities without upending his life. Plus, his narcissistic mother once taught him a very valuable lesson: never get mixed up with a woman who can take control of your emotions. And no one has ever threatened his legendary control quite like Maggie.
Sweet and sassy schoolteacher Maggie Crowder has made one big oops in her life, but she isn’t letting that bring her down. She just has to show hunky long-time crush Cord Wilde that their weekend together was more than a good time and an unexpected pregnancy. After all, she couldn’t be the only one who’d felt a connection, right? Only, Cord has a pretty big wall around his heart, and he isn’t letting anyone through. Will the lure of unconditional love, as well as the draw of finally returning home to Birch Bay, be enough to break through his last ounce of resistance?
Return to Wilde Orchard one final time and fall in love with the Wilde family all over again

Eileen's Thoughts

I loved reading Cord and Maggie’s story in Montana Homecoming by Kim Law, book six in the Wildes of Birch Bay series. This book will truly pull you in and you will need a box of tissues nearby.

Cord heads home to Birch Bay when his partners put him on a forced vacation and finds that his memorable weekend back in the spring had an unexpected consequence; he is expecting a baby like some of his siblings. He thinks he can be responsible without changing his life and not be involved in the baby’s life. After all, he learned well from his narcissistic mother; to not get mixed up with anyone who could control him.

Sweet, sassy, and independent schoolteacher Maggie Crowder definitely threatened Cord’s control. She never expected the amazing weekend she spent with him would be more than a good time; let alone result in an unexpected pregnancy. She felt a definite connection with her long time crush and suspects he also felt it.

Cord has protected his heart for a long time, not sure he knows how to open up. Maggie is determined to shower Cord with unconditional love, hoping it will break through his walls. Cord forgot that he and Maggie had a sizzling chemistry that could generate enough electricity to light up the town.

Ms. Law wrote an emotional love story that is truly not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, amusing banter, and an endearing cast of characters giving Cord and Maggie a chance for happiness, love, a family and a future together. I highly recommend Montana Homecoming to other readers.

Excerpt of MONTANA HOMECOMING by Kim Law

Her lips closed over his as soon as he ran out of words, and at first he didn’t move. He didn’t breathe. He didn’t want to lead her on.

He didn’t want to want her.

But then he couldn’t help but move. Her lips were warm and soft against his. Just like she was warm and soft. And she was offering him the kind of understanding that no other person in the world had ever offered.

He slid his hand to the back of her head and slanted his lips over hers, and he stroked inside her mouth as her moan mingled with his. He wanted to devour her. He wanted to never stop kissing her.

“Maggie.” He pulled back, allowing only a breath of distance between them. “Should we be doing this?” He’d promised her before that he wouldn’t flirt with her again. And he hadn’t. He’d done his best not to think about her as anything more than the mother of his son. But she felt like more. And this felt like so much more than flirting.

“I do think we should be doing it. I don’t know what might come of it, but I like you, Cord. A lot. And I think you like me.”
