DARE TO STAY by Carly Phillips
I just love a story of second chances and this one brings all the emotions.
Willow James, the athletic trainer for the Miami Thunder, has a hard time trusting others having grown up in foster care. Just when Willow has decided to trust and give her heart to Dr. Braden Prescott, he decides to leave the country and join Doctors Without Borders. Now, two years later Braden is back as the new head of the team’s general doctors. After Willow and Braden see each other it is obvious that their chemistry is still there…..but the problem is is that Willow can no longer trust Braden.
Braden decides that he is going to do everything in his power to get Willow to trust him again because while he was away he realized that she is his future. Willow agrees to a friends with benefits relationship because that part of their relationship was off the charts but that is all Braden will get. Eventually Braden wins Willow’s heart is the most perfect of ways and these two get their well deserved happy ending.
I really loved these characters. Willow had so many trust issues because of her past and she had to learn to get past those. Braden had issues from his past too, but those were because of the man who raised him. Together these two learned to let go of the past and embrace the future with their whole hearts. Another great addition to the Dare family, and I can’t wait for the next book where we will get Brianne’s story!
Braden and Willow’s love story in Dare to Stay, book four in the Dare Nation series by Carly Phillips hits it out of the ballpark. Ms. Phillips again gives us a Dare, or should I say Prescott, brother who is intelligent, strong minded, and feeling that he never fit in with his athletic brothers; being that he became a doctor. We also have a strong, independent, and determined heroine who is determined to protect herself and her feelings; having grown up in foster care, moving from home to home. This breathtakingly beautiful love story contains so many feelings and miscommunications, family, attraction, off the charts sizzling chemistry, inner turmoil, and lots of steamy scenes.
Ms. Phillips wrote a wonderful, emotional and sizzling story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, amusing banter, and charming secondary characters giving Braden and Willow a chance for happiness, love and a future together. I highly recommend Dare to Stay to other readers.
