ROOMMAID #1 Best Seller in Clean & Wholesome Romance

From bestselling author Sariah Wilson comes a charming romance about living your life one dream at a time.

What genres do you write?

Romantic comedy/sweet contemporary romance.

Coffee or tea lover?

I don’t drink either. So hot chocolate?

Name one thing on your bucket list.

To sit on the set of a movie that’s based on one of my books.

Do you have pets?

I do! I have three cats – a ragdoll named Pixel, a calico named Callie and a Maine Coon named Belle.

When I wake up every morning I…

…wish I didn’t have to wake up yet. And then I take my thyroid medicine and drink some water.

Weirdest or unique thing you own.

This is a hard one because I own a lot of unique and weird things. Like the name placard that went on the baby bassinet in the hospital for Emma Geller-Green, baby of Ross and Rachel on Friends. But my favorite thing is the one I got most recently—my publisher sent it to me as a gift for the debut of ROOMMAID. It’s a picture of Ben Solo and Rey from Star Wars put onto an old cover of Johanna Lindsey’s TENDER IS THE STORM.

Do you have any hobbies or particular skills?

I really enjoy cross stitching. The more complicated the design, the more I like it. I’m also a huge fan of TV and movies. To a ridiculous degree.

What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?

I hope that for a few hours, it takes them away from all the stress and hardships they’re currently experiencing in their lives. My book is a fun, safe place to go, to laugh and swoon and forget about all your problems!

What inspired you to write ROOMMAID?

It was based on an old TIME Magazine article from about 15 years ago where people were offering free room and board to have someone move in and take care of their home. At the time I thought, “What if the person didn’t know how to clean?” and filed it away in my brain as a possible story idea, and here we are.

Three words that best describes your writing style.

Funny, feel-good and very sweet!

Author Spotlight & Giveaway: SARIAH WILSON!

From bestselling author Sariah Wilson comes a charming romance about living your life one dream at a time.
Madison Huntington is determined to live her dreams. That means getting out from under her family’s wealth and influence by saying no to the family business, her allowance, and her home. But on a teacher’s salary, the real world comes as a rude awakening—especially when she wakes up every morning on a colleague’s couch. To get a place of her own (without cockroaches, mold, or crime scene tape), Madison accepts a position as a roommaid. In exchange for free room and board, all she needs to do is keep her busy roommate’s penthouse clean and his dog company. So what if she’s never washed a dish in her life. She can figure this out, right?
Madison is pretty confident she can fake it well enough that Tyler Roth will never know the difference. The finance whiz is rich and privileged and navigates the same social circles as her parents—but to him she’s just a teacher in need of an apartment. He’s everything Madison has run from, but his kindhearted nature, stomach-fluttering smile, and unexpected insecurities only make her want to get closer. And Tyler is warming to the move.
Rewarding job. Perfect guy. Great future. With everything so right, what could go wrong? Madison is about to find out.

Excerpt of ROOMMAID

“Huh.” He paused a beat. “That guy sounds like a real winner.”

I wanted to both laugh and cry. “Believe it or not, he’s the best boyfriend I ever had.”

“Jeez. Who did you date before? Satan?”

Now I did laugh. “Brad has been my only boyfriend.”

Tyler took another sip of champagne. “Wait. But when you and Frederica came by—”

I cut him off. “I don’t know how much she knew about what was going on with me and Brad. But she might have played it up a bit for your benefit because of your rule. Because you were so worried I’d be psycho and fall in love with you and then stalk you.”

He smiled wryly. “That seems a little silly now, doesn’t it?”

Other than the Everest-size crush I had on him? “Yep. Silly.”

“Well, it sounds to me like you’re better off without him. Good riddance.”

“Definitely. Especially when his parting shot was about what a bad kisser I am. Among other things.”

“Wasn’t he the only guy you were kissing?” When I nodded, he added, “So wouldn’t that kind of make it his fault if you were?”

“Good point. He was just trying to make me feel bad about myself. And it might have even worked a little. He knows I’m self-conscious about it.” Liquid warmth was spreading through my limbs and I kicked off my shoes to make myself more comfortable, tucking my legs up underneath me.

He seemed to be considering what to say to that and what he came up with nearly knocked me off the sofa.

“I could kiss you.”

Oh that star wars cover is so awesome. You are a new author to me and this book sounds so fun. I been reading more rom-com lately. I use to cross stich more, but arthritis is not my friend. Congratulations on your new book.
