My
latest “hobby” is one my daughter introduced me to. We are in love with
K-pop (Korean) boy bands, and we share YouTube links and discuss them
all the time. For example:
8. What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?
I hope they are entertained and swept away
for a fun read. I like to really immerse in the place my book is set.
With this one, we’re going to Vegas, baby! What happens there…ends up
in the book!
9. What inspired you to write Her Las Vegas Wedding?
had the hero Shane very clearly in my mind. Since he’s a chef, I
decided Las Vegas with the world-class dining there would be an exciting
locale.

Lots of places! Ireland and Scotland. All of that lush land seems very romantic to me. I've been to England a few times but would love to explore that part of the world further.
Ireland and Scotland. All the lush green land. Seems deeply romantic to me. I’ve visited England but I’d like to explore that part of the world further.
Is there anywhere you want to write about but haven't visited yet
Do you draw inspiration from places you visit or do you investigate the places you want to visit and draw inspiration from that.
I get the whole liking of a boy band because of your daughter! I have 3 daughters and have gone to two Jonas Brothers concerts and one One Direction concert. They were both better than I ever expected!
The K-Pop scene has been around for a long time and the music and choreography is really sophisticated and energetic. I like to watch or listen to a song or two when I take writing breaks.
How do you enjoy K-Pop? Before I retired my Asian students formed an after school club for K-Pop fans. What ty[es of books do you enjoy reading?
I watch K-Pop music videos and performances on YouTube. And I have a K-Pop station on Pandora. I've started watching a new Japanese drama called Spring Has Come that features one of the K-Pop stars as the handsome lead. The storyline is just like a romance novel, so much fun!
What is it about Florence that attracts? When we were there, we saw the magnificent 17 foot tall David. And wandered. Some great gelato. What are you hoping to see, except more museums? Just curious. Thanks for sharing your answers.
What a great city for wandering. I loved all of the piazzas, especially the Piazza della Signoria with all of the outdoor statues. And there's just a feeling there to me about all of the intellectual thought and science and art that has happened there over the centuries. My next book, The Italian's Runaway Princess which comes out in September, is set there. So I've been reminiscing about Florence a lot lately.
